Renewable energy
For more than 15 years, EMS Chartering has been a reliable partner for numerous companies in the renewable energy sector. On their behalf, we develop sophisticated concepts to ship components such as blades and tower sections to destinations around the world. Our customers benefit from our expertise in, for example, securing cargo, optimizing stowage plans and finding ideal weight distribution solutions. For the transports, we use the EMS Group’s own vessels as well as the tonnage of long-standing partners. We also have experience in shipping with barges. All loading and unloading operations are monitored by our own port captains.
Port equipment
EMS Chartering has been reliably transporting very heavy and oversized port equipment to destinations around the globe for years. Utilizing MPP and heavy-lift vessels of our international partners, we safely deliver hoppers, ship loaders, unloaders and the like to wherever you need them.
Short sea shipping
As true specialists in coastal shipping, the safe and reliable transportation of a wide variety of cargoes in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea is our daily business. For the transportation of containers as well as bulk, breakbulk and project cargo, EMS Chartering uses the EMS Group's own dry cargo ships as well as vessels of reliable partners. Several ships of our own fleet are able to navigate rivers and can therefore reach inland ports.
Barges
EMS Chartering does not only offer transportation solutions with seagoing vessels, but also has a lot of experience in barge transportation. For example, in 2021 and 2022 alone, we used barges to deliver a total of 414 windmill blades and 110 tower sets for the largest onshore wind farm in Europe. Barge transportation requires special expertise and very precise planning, both of which you will find at EMS Chartering.
Cranes
The worldwide shipping of mobile harbour cranes has been a specialty of EMS Chartering for years. Using MPP and heavy-lift vessels of long-standing partners, we develop tailor-made transport solutions and ensure that your cargo reaches even the most remote destination safely. Since 2018 alone, we have successfully shipped more than 200 mobile harbor, ship and offshore cranes.
